2026 WMCA INSPIRATION AWARD

This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the municipal clerk field, honoring individuals who have had a significant impact on the association or a WMCA member within the past year. The Washington Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) proudly announces the honorees for 2026.



Kelsey MacDonald

Deputy City Clerk for the City of Duvall

Honored as an "Inspiration" for her work streamlining processes, implementing technology, and improving service – both internally at the City and to external customers.  



Tami Pevey

City Clerk for the City of Sultan

Honored as an "Inspiration" for her dedication to WMCA, particularly in the areas of administration, governance support, and organizational continuity, through her work as a Website Administrator and Elections Officer. 


Melissa McCain

MMC, Public Disclosure Program Manager/Deputy City Clerk for the City of Renton

Kandice Besaw

CMC, CPRO, Records & Disclosure Coordinator for the City of Bonney Lake

Honored as an "Inspiration" for their leadership as co-chairs of the Membership Committee. Their collaborative leadership has been instrumental in revitalizing the WMCA partnership program, transforming it into a meaningful and successful initiative. 



The awards were presented at the annual WMCA Conference on March 18, 2026, in Kennewick, Washington, where colleagues and peers celebrated their achievements.
